FS100 to get free 24p/25p/30p/50p/60p firmware update.

According to Phil Bloom the FS100 is to get a free firmware update later in the year that will turn it into a mult-frame rate world camera. I had heard rumours of this, but wasn’t sure if it was going to be free or chargeable. This is good news indeed.

  1. hi, is the new firmware for fs 100 going to enable 24p nd 60i for PAL versions only, or the NTSC versions will also be able to shoot in 25p nd 50i ??? hence i can buy this camcorder cheaper in us and use it it europe..

    1. It should do exactly that. The software is going to be free, but there may be a small fee (I don’t know) to have it installed.
